Installation Guide for Reluctance Rotary Transformer

2026-07-02

The schematic diagram of the structure of the magneto resistive rotary transformer is shown below:

(1) Pole pairs

There are mainly 2 pairs of poles, 3 pairs of poles, 4 pairs of poles, 5 pairs of poles, and 6 pairs of poles. Here, there is an angle multiplication relationship, that is, electrical angle/mechanical angle=pole pairs

(2) Conventional parameters

DC internal resistance, input impedance, excitation signal (voltage, frequency, current)

Attention: When designing RDC circuits, special attention should be paid to impedance matching, waveform of excitation signals, and output circuit methods; Simultaneously optimize the design and assembly of electromagnetic interference and high temperature characteristics.

(3) Routine incoming inspection:

1. Whether the product specifications and drawings are consistent;

2. Appearance inspection: including packaging method, check for scratches, glue peeling, damage, etc;

3. DC internal resistance check: Use a multimeter in the resistance range to determine if there is a broken wire or severe short turn fault;

4. Waveform inspection: requires power on testing, using specialized fixtures or simulation methods;

5. Other unconventional indicator checks: high and low temperature, electromagnetic interference, insulation resistance, etc.

Precautions for use and installation

1. After unboxing:

1) Carefully inspect for cracks or other defects;

2) Do not directly pull or twist the lead wire of the transformer;

3) Do not collide, fall or engage in illegal handling.

2. During installation:

1) Installation accuracy requirements, try to ensure coaxial installation, and the coaxiality requirement should be higher than 0.05mm;

2) Avoid environments with high concentrations of corrosive gases or liquids;

3) Avoid high radiation environments;

4) Do not strike vigorously, especially the coil part;

5) Do not loosen screws or other components at will to avoid affecting the rotational performance;

6) The rotor part needs to be covered for protection.

3. When wiring:

1) Definition of signal lines: excitation R1-R2, signals S1-S3 and S2-S4;

2) Pay attention to the color of each line and connect them correctly.

4. Before starting up:

1) Recheck the installation and safety clearance;

2) Check if the installation tool has been moved away.

5. During operation:

1) Use standardized operating environment conditions and rotation speed;

2) Do not approach or touch the rotating shaft;

3) Do not drip oil or water into the vortex;

4) If there is severe vibration or impact during operation, please contact the supplier.

6. When storing:

1) Store in a constant temperature and dry environment as much as possible.

7. During maintenance:

1) Based on the incoming material inspection method, carefully observe and inspect the appearance, rotor, conductivity, insulation condition (greater than 100M Ω), etc.
